I’m a repeat guest.At the festival, the shaved ice, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, edamame, and konjac were all very delicious. The draft beer tasted exceptionally good.Since meals were served in the Room, I was able to dine in a relaxed atmosphere.Two different types of rice were served, so I could compare them—both were delicious.Next time, I’d like to stay in a different Room.
ブルーポピィー 8/3/2026This is my favorite Accommodation. It had been far too long since my last visit, but it’s still just as wonderful. The food was exceptional as well. I’ll come back again in a different season. The sake tasting set, matsutake mushroom hot pot soup, imoni (taro stew), udon, and hassun platter were all outstanding.

This is a spacious Room type featuring a calm Japanese-style Room, a comfortable living area, and an additional adjoining Room. The adjoining Room can be used to suit your needs. It also includes a semi-open-air bath, allowing you to relax and bathe whenever you like during your stay. Accommodates up to 6 guests.
Our cuisine showcases seasonal local ingredients from Yamagata. Our head chef personally visits the market to select the finest ingredients available only at that time of year and prepares them with care. At Counter Dining “Yu,” the head chef cooks right in front of you. From stories about the ingredients to recommendations for local sake, you can relax and savor the experience at your own pace.
The large public baths for men and women feature fragrant Aomori Hiba cypress on the ceiling, walls, and tub rim, with granite used for the bathtub and washing area, creating a refreshing woody aroma. The water is a sodium-calcium chloride sulfur Onsen, said to be effective for cuts and bruises. The view filling the wide horizontal window looks like a single painting framed by the window. Towels are fully provided in the changing room.
In our small library overlooking the courtyard, you’ll find a wide selection of books, from picture books and fairy tales to full-fledged art collections. We also offer rare titles, including beautifully illustrated foreign books on cuisine and interior design, as well as publications about Yamagata and Kaminoyama. Please feel free to pick up a book and enjoy it while taking in the courtyard view.
