Relax and unwind at an Onsen Accommodation in Ibusuki, where you can savor the chef's exquisite Japanese cuisine.
Just a 5-minute walk to the Ibusuki Natural Sand Onsen. It has maintained the number one position in the culinary category of "Ryokan Hyakusen" for about a quarter of a century. Please enjoy the hospitality imbued with Japanese spirit and the unique flavors of Hotel Shusuien.
I had been planning a trip to Kagoshima for some time, and choosing Shusuien was absolutely the right decision. It’s in a great location close to the sand bath I wanted to visit, and the service was outstanding—there was nothing to complain about, including lending me a parasol.Thank you very much.
ロゼ 7/16/2026We thoroughly enjoyed the heartfelt, wonderful local cuisine, including Kagoshima’s signature fresh silver-stripe round herring (kibinago) sashimi, and could truly feel the chef’s skill and dedication in every dish. The building features traditional architecture, allowing us to relax comfortably throughout our stay. Since our visit coincided with a spring tide, we were also able to enjoy the nearby sand-bath Onsen right by the water’s edge—something not usually available. Although it happened to be the day a major earthquake struck Kumamoto, we felt less shaking than expected and were relieved by how solid and well-built the property was. We would love to visit again if we have the opportunity.
