A forest highland resort where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains from your room.

About a 50-minute drive from Oze National Park, this highland resort at an elevation of 966 m sits like a hidden retreat amid 2 million tsubo of pristine nature. From the guest rooms, enjoy sweeping panoramic views of iconic peaks such as Tanigawa-dake and Hotaka-yama, showcasing breathtaking beauty in every season. Golf, skiing, a wide range of activities, high-pH Onsen known for leaving skin feeling smooth and refreshed, and restaurants to suit your style—offering moments of healing and relaxation that bring families closer together.

  • The Room wasn’t luxurious, but the mountain view from the window was soothing, and it was comfortable with nothing lacking. There was iced water provided, and it tasted great. I wondered what the owl on the wall was, and it turned out to be a music box that plays when you pull the cord. The Onsen is an alkaline spring with a soft feel on the skin. The indoor bath had a spacious washing area and an easy-to-enter temperature of around 41°C, while the open-air bath was a bit hotter at around 42–43°C. The open-air bath is in a separate building, which is slightly inconvenient to get to, but it felt very open, and since I went in during daylight hours, I really enjoyed it. For dinner, there were plenty of options even for someone like me who doesn’t like seafood—roast beef, pulled pork, meat sushi, and more—so I thoroughly enjoyed it. Desserts were also great: in addition to Mont Blanc prepared on the spot, there were many varieties such as cakes, pudding, soft-serve ice cream, and mango. Breakfast was also delicious, including omelets from the live kitchen and local dishes. Since this stay was at a discounted rate as well, it felt like good value and I was satisfied.

  • It was located in a wonderfully nature-rich setting. The meals were also very delicious. The private open-air bath in the detached annex was a truly special, escape-from-the-everyday experience.I’d love to visit again.
