About an 8-minute walk from JR Tono Station. A Property where you can enjoy listening to folktales told by storytellers.

Warmth, Emotion, Encounter The eternal rural city of Tono, where the great nature of the Kitakami Mountains breathes life. Renowned as the homeland of folklore known through Kunio Yanagita's "Tono Monogatari." Every year, many people visit this place seeking solace for their hearts, and here lies another stage to fully enjoy encounters, emotions, and tranquility.

  • Conveniently located just a short walk from the station, at the foot of Nabekura Castle and next to the museum. Every dish was delicious and carefully prepared—truly heartfelt. I was surprised by the dessert, which felt like an afternoon tea. The simmered ganmo at breakfast was also excellent! The service was warm and attentive, and we enjoyed listening to a storyteller by the irori hearth. It warmed us to the core. If you’re visiting Tono, I highly recommend this Accommodation!

  • During my previous day trip to Tono, I wished to stay overnight, and I finally got the chance to stay at this long-awaited accommodation. The comfort exceeded my expectations, and both the meals and the room were excellent. The dessert at the end of dinner was served in an afternoon tea style, which made me ask if we could choose from a selection. The storyteller's talk was both entertaining and informative. I will definitely return next time!
