Step through the noren curtain and you will be welcomed into an elegant, inviting space. Enjoy private baths surrounded by lush mountains and a star-filled sky, as well as a large communal bath where you can soak while gazing out over a charming garden. With seven different baths to explore, the day’s fatigue gently melts away. Our signature cuisine is served in your Room for both dinner and breakfast. Using fresh local ingredients, each beautifully presented and deeply flavorful dish adds color to your travel memories. Refined views, seasonal beauty, and the intimate atmosphere of this small Accommodation are complemented by carefully selected Scandinavian design chairs from the 1950s. Along with attentive hospitality, they help create a truly luxurious stay. In your Room or in the baths—savor relaxation and quiet respite to your heart’s content.
I have been staying here for some time, and recently I always stay for three nights. Each time, the property is quiet and thoroughly cleaned throughout. The wonderful, delicious meals were excellent, and both the open-air bath and the large public bath were spotless. The background music was also pleasant. The Room has two rooms with a veranda, and it was the perfect size for just my spouse and me. The staff’s service was also good.

Fukiya’s bathing facilities include three private reservable baths, separate large public baths for men and women, and a rock-built open-air bath. The large public baths switch between men’s and women’s use by time slot, allowing you to enjoy a total of seven different baths. Soak while taking in the charming garden and scenic views in the spacious public bath. On the third floor, a private open-air bath offers an art-like setting with a beautiful terrace and an oval hinoki cypress tub. On the rooftop open-air bath, feel the breeze and scents of each season—and at night, enjoy a sky full of stars all to yourself. Each bath has its own unique design for an extraordinary, blissful experience.
Japanese cuisine featuring an abundance of seafood from Sagami Bay and fresh vegetables. To help you experience the seasons, our head chef carefully selects the finest ingredients and serves a monthly changing menu. In addition, both dinner and breakfast are served in your Room, so you can relax in privacy without concern for others. Please take your time to savor each dish at a leisurely pace while chatting about your day, the places you visited, and your stay.
The guest rooms at “Fukiya” blend the refined aesthetics of Sukiya-style Japanese design with modern comfort, offering authentic Japanese-style rooms that capture the essence of a Ryokan. Choose from seven room types, including rooms with a Japanese garden view, rooms with an attached shoin study, and rooms featuring beds on tatami flooring. In each room’s veranda space, we have luxuriously arranged iconic chairs by renowned Danish designers Finn Juhl, Ole Wanscher, Ib Kofod-Larsen, and Hans J. Wegner. Enjoy their exceptional comfort as they gently embrace your body to your heart’s content.
To help make your stay a wonderful memory, we can prepare celebratory red rice and a commemorative photo for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. For longevity celebrations, we can also provide a traditional chanchanko vest. We can arrange cakes and flowers as well—please contact us for details.
We want guests of all ages to enjoy a comfortable stay. With that in mind, we provide a wide range of amenities and equipment. [Amenities & Loan Items] For children: slippers / cotton post-bath slippers / yukata / samue loungewear / tableware For babies: hot-water pot for formula / futon bedding / pillow / diapers (S, M, L) / diaper bin / baby soap / baby bouncer, etc. [In-house Facility] To ensure your comfort and safety with barrier-free support, handrails have been installed at all steps and level changes throughout the property—from the large public bath to the guest rooms.
