Soshin no Yado Oishiya, established in 1887, has been cherished by many guests over the years. In the autumn of 2001, the entire Property was newly renovated. We are deeply grateful for the continued support and patronage of our guests, which has made this possible. Oishiya has witnessed the eras of Meiji, Taisho, Showa, and Heisei. Through the passage of time and the changing seasons, we strive to cherish an unchanging spirit. With this sentiment, Oishiya places great importance on the spirit of hospitality centered around "Soshin," the pure and honest heart that everyone is born with and longs for. While preserving the essence of hospitality, Oishiya delivers the tranquility of Japanese tradition, infused with the flow of a new era.
This trip was mainly to visit Ise Grand Shrine, Toba, and Futamiura.I was especially looking forward to visiting Futami Okitama Shrine and seeing the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks),so I searched for the Accommodation closest to the shrine and chose “Oishiya.”From the very beginning, I was impressed by the exceptionally courteous and pleasant service.From arriving by taxi through check-in, being shown to my Room, dining, and even the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out,everything was handled in such a welcoming way that it made for a truly wonderful trip.To the proprietress, manager, attendants, Shuttle Service driver, and everyone at Oishiya,thank you very much.Dinner was a charcoal-grilled seafood kaiseki course. Starting with appetizers and sashimi,the main dishes featured an abundant selection including abalone, squid, turban shell, other shellfish, and vegetables.Being able to enjoy abalone both grilled and as sashimi made it an especially luxurious meal.The meal was so plentiful that I’m sorry I ended up leaving one dish unfinished.I also appreciate the attendant’s thoughtful consideration regarding dessert.The view of Futami’s sea from the panoramic bath was exceptional—I enjoyed it many times: before dinner, after dinner, and early in the morning.The location of this Accommodation is also perfect for accessing Futami Okitama Shrine.After check-in, after dinner, at sunrise time, and after check-out,I was able to visit a total of four times—it meant so much to me.Every view was wonderful, but the scenery at sunrise was truly unforgettable.Staying at “Oishiya” made this an outstanding trip.If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay again.Thank you very much.
