    I stay here almost every month for regular commitments.This time I noticed the amenities were from an Italian organic brand, Millennium.They smelled wonderful and felt great to use.I’m completely hooked on the reliable, long-established comfort of this place.

About Kumamoto Hotel Castle

Kumamoto Hotel Castle was built to host Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress. Ahead of the Kumamoto National Sports Festival held in October 1960 (Showa 35), momentum grew within Kumamoto’s business community to build a Hotel to serve as Their Majesties’ Accommodation, and the construction of this Hotel was Done. Located directly in front of Kumamoto Castle, a symbol of Kumamoto City, it opened for business on October 16 under the name Kumamoto Hotel Castle. During that month’s festival, Their Majesties visited and stayed with us for five days, from the 21st to the 25th. Since then, we have had the honor of welcoming many members of the Imperial Family as guests.

Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan’s three most famous castles, was built in 1588 by Kato Kiyomasa, who established his base in Kumamoto as the lord of half of Higo Province. It is also known as Ginnan Castle. From rooms on the castle side, you can enjoy a luxurious view with Kumamoto Castle rising right before your eyes.

  • Notice of Temporary Closure of the Entire Property Due to Electrical System Upgrade Work

    Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Kumamoto Hotel Castle.

    Due to electrical system renewal work, the entire Hotel will be closed during the following period.

    ■ Closure Period
    February 1 (Mon) – February 3 (Wed), 2027

    During this period, all operations will be suspended, including Accommodation, restaurants, and banquets.

    We plan to resume normal operations from Thursday, February 4.

    This work is an important facility upgrade to ensure continued safety and comfort. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your kind understanding.
