Gamagori Classic Hotel traces its origins to the former Gamagori Hotel, designated as a First International Tourist Hotel. Along with its magnificent castle-like exterior, it preserves a classical and intellectual Art Deco interior and furnishings to this day. It is also a member of the “Japan Classic Hotel Association,” formed by nine hotels that meet criteria such as recognition as cultural properties or industrial heritage sites, and its prewar architecture and decorative style are highly regarded. Gamagori Classic Hotel is located atop a gentle hill rising at the heart of Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park, embraced by the Atsumi and Chita Peninsulas. From here, you can enjoy sweeping views of the calm waters of Mikawa Bay, dotted with lush islands including Takeshima, a nationally designated Natural Monument. Set on a 10,000-tsubo estate, the grounds offer ever-changing scenery throughout the year—cherry blossoms and azaleas in spring, fresh greenery in early summer, and vibrant autumn foliage.
