Kawagoe, a city of history and culture, was once a castle town of the Matsudaira clan with a 170,000-koku fief and was known as “Koedo” (Little Edo). Even today, amid the modernized cityscape, Edo- and Meiji-era kura-style merchant buildings, machiya townhouses with lattice facades, and the Honmaru Goten of Kawagoe Castle have been preserved. Kawagoe Prince Hotel offers a full range of services for stays, weddings, banquets, and seminars. Facilities include seven banquet rooms—highlighted by the Prince Hall accommodating up to 1,200 guests—Shinto- and Christian-style wedding venues; eight diverse restaurants and bars; four traditional Japanese-style rooms; and 110 guest rooms where you can relax in comfort.
We truly felt the Hotel’s warm hospitality. Your greetings and temporary luggage storage were very helpful. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. With the Hotel’s Kawagoe map, we were able to explore Koedo smoothly. It became a fun and memorable trip, and we felt the accommodation cost with breakfast included was a great value. Thank you very much.
To celebrate my father’s 90th birthday, I wanted to gift him a one-night trip to Kawagoe, so I made a Reservation at the Prince Hotel. This was our second stay, and we were glad my parents were satisfied with the service, the staff’s hospitality, the breakfast buffet, and how clean the Room was. It was also very convenient as a base for sightseeing during the season when Chuin Temple’s weeping cherry blossoms are beautiful. At night, our family of four was looking forward to enjoying some great drinks at Bar Windsor inside the Hotel, but it was full and we couldn’t get in, which was disappointing. Next time, I’d like to make a Reservation in advance.
