An elegant, refined classical Hotel. In the vast Japanese garden with historic buildings, you can feel the changing seasons. Though located in the heart of the city, enjoy an extraordinary stay in a timeless classical setting that feels like stepping back in time.
This time, I stayed here with my husband. I love night views from the Room, so a tower-side view is a must for me. The food in the lounge was delicious, and it was calm with a great view. Since it was during summer vacation, I was also soothed by watching children playing in the garden.
I had previously been invited by a friend to use the club lounge, and this time I used it during my own stay. I noted in my Reservation that we would be celebrating our wedding anniversary, and I was delighted to receive an unexpected celebratory service. Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. I hadn’t even considered the view from the Room, so I was surprised to find we had a Room with a view of Tokyo Tower. It felt like experiencing Tokyo’s night scenery all over again, and it was wonderful. It was my husband’s first time using a club lounge, and he really enjoyed being able to eat and drink various items—he said it was more fulfilling than he expected. We were able to use both lounges. In the evening, we were informed of the exit time upon entry, but we still had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves within the allotted period. At night we took a leisurely stroll through the illuminated garden and also tried the spa at Sakura Tower. There was also a fitness area, so I felt that if we had prepared in advance, we could have enjoyed it even more. We were able to spend an elegant time close to home. This is a Hotel I would like to visit again in another season as well. Thank you very much.

Japanese Garden
A Japanese garden spreading out to embrace three Hotels: The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, and Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa. Created in 1971 with the construction of the former Takanawa Prince Hotel, it was designed by the late Teiji Kusuoka, who also worked on projects such as the New Imperial Palace. Within this approximately 20,000 m² garden, you will find seasonal flowers that offer beautiful and elegant scenery throughout the year—starting with cherry blossoms in spring—as well as a pond where vividly colored Nishikigoi carp swim. The grounds are also dotted with historically and artistically significant landmarks, including “Saryo Ean,” a late work by renowned Showa-era architect the late Togo Murano (who oversaw renovations of the VIP House and designed Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa), and “Kannon-do Hall,” said to have been relocated from Nara Prefecture. Please take your time and enjoy a leisurely stroll through this Takana wa Japanese garden, surrounded by nature so beautiful you may forget you are in central Tokyo.
