  • I love it.

    I love the lobby’s oriental atmosphere. The garden is lovely too. The pomegranate at breakfast and dinner at Kokiden are both outstanding. This time I stayed for two nights, so at Kokiden I enjoyed a course meal on the first day and à la carte dishes—like my favorite gomoku tsuyu soba—on the second. The sesame balls, which aren’t included in the course dessert, are amazing.

  • Birthday celebration

    We stayed here to celebrate an 80th birthday. We booked four Club Floor Rooms and stayed with seven family members. The Hotel kindly prepared surprise gifts for the celebration—sparkling wine, honey hand cream, and an adorable bear-shaped towel—and we are very grateful. With the Club Lounge hopping, we were able to enjoy both tea time and cocktail time at both Takanawa Prince Hotel and Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, which was very satisfying. We also fully enjoyed complimentary access to the Sakura Tower spa and Diamond Pool. We would like to stay again.

A Japanese garden spreading out to embrace three Hotels: The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, and Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa. Created in 1971 with the construction of the former Takanawa Prince Hotel, it was designed by the late Teiji Kusuoka, who also worked on projects such as the New Imperial Palace. Within this approximately 20,000 m² garden, you will find seasonal flowers that offer beautiful and elegant scenery throughout the year—starting with cherry blossoms in spring—as well as natural features such as a pond where vividly colored Nishikigoi carp swim. Scattered throughout are historically and artistically significant landmarks, including “Saryo Ean,” a late work by renowned Showa-era architect the late Togo Murano (who also oversaw renovations of the VIP Mansion and designed Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa), and “Kannon-do Hall,” said to have been relocated from Nara Prefecture. Please take your time enjoying a leisurely stroll through this Takana wa Japanese garden, surrounded by beautiful nature that feels far removed from central Tokyo.
