Japan’s first full-scale mountain resort, a landmark that embodies the history of Kamikochi

Kamikochi, once known as the sacred land of Kamikawachi, remains unchanged in its natural beauty. The Kamikochi Imperial Hotel continues to captivate visitors with its breathtaking surroundings. The pristine Azusa River, the majestic Hotaka Mountains, and the serene Myojin Pond... Spending time amidst the harmonious changes of the seasons is truly the ultimate luxury.

  • I had long admired the Kamikochi Imperial Hotel. I had visited Kamikochi several times for hiking, and each time I hoped to stay there someday. This time, the timing worked out and I was finally able to visit. For our family it felt like a special treat, but we were truly impressed—not only by the wonderful location and beautiful building, but also by how delicious the food was. Above all, we were moved by the outstanding hospitality: every staff member spoke to us warmly yet politely, even the housekeeping team greeted us with a smile, and they treated our preschool-aged child with such kindness and care.I’m not sure when we’ll be able to return, but we definitely want to come back again.Thank you very much!

  • Although it was only a one-night stay, it was a truly wonderful Hotel. We had made a Reservation for two Rooms with two guests each, and they kindly prepared connecting Rooms for us. All amenities were provided, and we enjoyed an elegant, comfortable stay without any inconvenience. The Hotel staff were outstanding—front desk, concierge, shop staff, and restaurant team—thank you all for creating such a pleasant atmosphere.
