The Ryokan "瑠璃光" is named after the Onsen source of Yamashiro, boasting a history of 1300 years.
My first contact was a phone call to let them know I would be arriving late, and the call was pleasant; they immediately adjusted the dinner time for me as well. What stayed with me most was the service after check-in. A staff member escorted us to our Room and gave a thorough, attentive explanation of how to get around the property and where the emergency exits were. While many places give rushed instructions at reception, it had been a while since we were guided all the way to our Room, and that consideration really meant a lot to us as we were tired upon arrival. At the dining area, a male staff member welcomed us with a gentle manner, and the dishes had wonderfully rich dashi flavor—so much so that “delicious” kept slipping out with every bite. Of course, the Onsen was spacious and very relaxing as well. Everything was excellent.All of the staff treated us with genuine care. After all, the greatest luxury when traveling is heartfelt hospitality. This Accommodation has been the best I have ever stayed at. Next time, I would like to visit again with staying here as my main purpose.
gyomei 9/23/2026Although it is a large Hotel, it was very quiet. The Room was spacious, and the bathroom was also very large, with an open-air bath and a sauna, so the facilities were excellent.The service was great, and the free Shuttle Service was truly helpful. I would like to stay here again.

In the garden open-air bath where you can enjoy the charm of each season, indulge in various bathing experiences such as under dappled sunlight or during a quiet night. Additionally, you can fully enjoy the Yamashiro Onsen in five private open-air baths and foot baths.
We offer various Plans such as in-Room dining, dining halls, or meal venues. Our recommendation is the dining "Jinzaburo." Weekends tend to be fully booked, so we recommend making a Reservation early. Enjoy the seasonal flavors of Kaga at your leisure with your loved ones.
