About a 10-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Enjoy a peaceful stay in a detached guesthouse set on spacious grounds, surrounded by nature and tranquility.

A quiet retreat just a 10-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station, "Tamaniwa" is a luxurious Property set on a 2,000-tsubo estate with eight separate villas. The garden, featuring a serene combination of rocks, water, and the clear stream of the Sukumo River, is adorned with seasonal Japanese flowers such as cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, camellias, flowering crabapples, apricots, spireas, azaleas, and crape myrtles, allowing time to flow gently in an unchanged tranquility. Each villa, designed in the Kyoto-style sukiya architecture, consists of three connected Rooms. All Rooms are equipped with private indoor baths that draw from a natural hot spring with beautifying properties, allowing you to fully enjoy the Onsen experience. The panoramic large bath offers stunning views of the Hakone mountain range. After a relaxing soak in the Onsen, savor refined kaiseki cuisine that highlights the quality of seasonal ingredients, served in the comfort of your Room.

  • We stayed here on ou...

We stayed here on our silver wedding anniversary trip after a day of golf. With in-room dining, we were able to relax at a leisurely pace, and since the bath in the Room is also an Onsen, we could enjoy it whenever we liked. The staff were attentive in many ways, making the stay very comfortable. When we stayed previously, the manager remembered that I get cold easily and prepared extra bedding for us, so I slept comfortably. The Facility is old and there is no open-air bath, but it’s rare to find an Accommodation with such high-quality Onsen water, a charming pond where carp swim, and convenient access. We would love to stay again.
