  • Conveniently located near the station.

    Because I had an early-morning flight, I stayed the night before at a local Hotel in Okayama. It seemed there were vacancies on the day of my stay, and for a small additional fee they assigned me to a Room with separate bath and toilet. I originally booked it just to sleep, but the Room was so lovely that I quickly went out to buy dinner at Sunste and Ichibangai and decided to spend the evening in the Room instead. Watching local trains and Shinkansen come and go from the window, I thought, “Next time I’m back in Okayama, I’ll stay at Granvia again,” enjoyed a relaxing bath, and was able to head out the next day feeling refreshed. Thank you very much to the male front desk staff member who kindly suggested alternative Room options so flexibly.

To provide a more private and comfortable stay, we have renovated the bathroom and toilet into separate areas and installed a rain shower. The washbasin area is designed as an open space to create a sense of openness, and can also be separated with a movable partition door for added privacy.

Elevator Lobby

The carpet design is inspired by the trees and flowers of Korakuen Garden, one of Okayama’s premier sightseeing spots, which reveals different expressions with the changing seasons. The blue walls evoke Okayama denim and the Seto Inland Sea. The elevator and guestroom doors are unified in black, inspired by Okayama Castle—also known as “Ujo (Crow Castle)” for its jet-black keep.

Pendant lighting

Okayama is also famous as the “Kingdom of Fruit.” Inspired by muscat grapes—renowned for their exceptional quality alongside peaches—we have installed pendant lighting featuring a muscat motif.

Accessory Tray

Canvas, a material used for sailing ships since the late Edo period, is surprisingly familiar today—found in everything from tote bags and oil painting canvases to gym mats. Kurashiki City in Okayama Prefecture is Japan’s leading production area, producing about 70% of domestically made canvas. As an in-room amenity, we provide an accessory tray made from premium “Kurashiki Canvas,” crafted in this renowned region.
