A secluded, 8-room Accommodation nestled along the Tenryukyo Gorge.

Surrounded by the Tenryu-Okumikawa Quasi-National Park, this Accommodation stands on a promontory overlooking the Tenryukyo Gorge, with the Tenryu River below shifting colors from moment to moment. Embraced by breathtaking natural beauty, accompanied by birdsong and the resonant sound of flowing water, your mind gently melts into nature. Dining features creative Japanese cuisine—an enchanting story brought to life through Chinese poetry inspired by the gorge’s extraordinary rock formations. Soak in an Onsen as smooth as a beauty serum infused with nature, and feel both body and mind renewed. A journey that awakens your senses and reconnects you with your true self. A hidden retreat for adults—one you may want to keep secret.

  • From the daybed in our Room, we could see the white rock faces of Tenryukyo Gorge and the green river, and enjoyed a truly luxurious time. Dinner was especially memorable, with each course served to follow the highlights of Tenryukyo Gorge, making it fun to dine while imagining the scenery. Local ingredients such as handmade soba, caviar (the staff explained it is farmed in Iida), and yukimasu trout were beautifully presented and a delight to look at as well. The large public bath has only an indoor bath and is not very spacious, but it also faces Tenryukyo Gorge, so we could see the river from the bath and relax in the Onsen.Thank you very much for a comfortable stay.

  • Surrounded by the natural beauty of Minami-Shinshu, we were able to spend a relaxing time in a peaceful setting. Most impressive of all was the cuisine. Every dish, made with local ingredients, was carefully prepared and truly moving with each course. We have stayed at many Accommodations while traveling, but this was so wonderful that we would love to come back just for the food.It was a lovely Accommodation that made us want to return in another season. Thank you very much.
