The "SPA Tower" features 8 rooms equipped with private saunas. Each guest will receive a set of sauna essentials including a sauna mat and hat. The sauna hat can also be taken home! The view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from the Room was breathtaking.The food was delicious, and we were able to relax in the luxurious large public bath.I wanted to have tea at the cafe, but unfortunately it was full, so I took a cake to go and enjoyed it in my Room. It was very tasty.There were various sightseeing spots nearby, and we enjoyed a pleasant walk around the area.We learned that a ferry departing Osaka around 9:00 p.m. passes right under the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, so we watched it from our Room.Recently, we traveled all the way to Moji on that ferry.When passing through the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, we could see the lights of Maiko Villa and it made us feel happy. We would love to visit again.
Although we were visiting from the eastern part of the prefecture, we could enjoy a real travel feeling with a close-up view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from our Room. The Room in the renovated spa building was simple yet clean, and we stayed comfortably. When the TV remote didn’t work and we contacted the front desk, they responded immediately. (The cause was dead batteries.) The diagonal elevator we took on the way from the Accommodation to Maiko Station reminded us of the one at Kuon-ji Temple on Mount Minobu. It was great fun. We’ll visit again in a different season.
