  Will stay again for sure!

  3 of us girls wanted a private hot springs we stayed 2 nights here. It was a bit difficult to find the place because the entrance is in an alley. See photos blue highlight are the 2 entrances of the alley. The alley goes from residential through to the river. There are about 15 steps of stairs so prepare if you have heavy or large luggage. We have asked them to prepare the tatami for us as well. There are 2 locked doors in the tatami room which we cannot open. We were a bit skeptical that someone might open those doors. Would suggest adding a manual lock from the tatami room for security comfort. There is no sink in the kitchen so wash dishes in the bathroom sinks. There main ensuite will have 2 bathroom sinks and there is another bathroom by the tatami room. The combined washer/dryer took 3 hours+ from start to finish. The location is in a quiet area you can rent kimonos. Great for photos. Gion is a good area to chill for a couple of days. Recommend here! The restaurant was yum too!
