Not so nice vs previous visit
I stayed at this hotel some years ago, with high satisfaction at that time. So I decided to revisit this year. Stayed at ground floor this time, the in-room onsen bath has problem. The spring water outlet is too close to edge of bath. When the bath is full, the new incoming hot spring water will flow away from the bath. This makes the bath water too cold, does not work for winter. Facilities are getting old and worn. Food is just average ok, not outstanding. New English-speaking staff to serve foreign visitors in dinner. While we appreciate the effort, the presentation looks too corporate, we prefer more genuine local Japanese staff. Overall experience especially the in-room bath is not satisfactory at the given price. Hope the hotel would at least look into the in-room bath setup issue.
